More Garlic Please!
Last year we planted 100 garlic cloves of 4 different varieties. We continue to enjoy the harvest from July which is being stored in the root cellar. This year, we planted 250 garlic cloves and 6 different varieties including Spanish Roja, German White, German Porcelain, Riesig, American Rocambole, and Music.

Lemongrass Harvest
13 pounds of lemongrass were harvested. Some sold at the local organic health food store but most were used fresh in a flurry of Thai and Vietnamese cooking this month. The rest were kept whole or minced and frozen to be used throughout the year.

What we grew and used: Nicola Potatoes, Lemongrass, Mustard Greens, Thai Bird Chilis, Jalapenos, Garlic, Shallots, Onions, Mint, Holy Basil, Cilantro.

Brussels Sprouts
BS are one of the plants that require a very long growing time before harvest -- at least 100 days.

A Full Season of Chard
This chard plant has produced for us from the late spring to the late fall. Notice how many successive cuttings we got out of this.

Butters
This is a house of learned French Bulldogs.

Tucked In
This low tunnel will help cold tolerant plants through chilly winds and low temps but will still allow rain and sun through.

Spinach and Mustard Greens
Along with winter lettuces, these will be our primary green leafy veg throughout the winter.

Post Thanksgiving Harvest
After the start of fall cleanup, we harvested a beautiful 25 lb bounty of bell peppers, round radishes, kohlrabi, fennel, tomatoes, tomatillos, jalapenos and yu choy. Cold weather crops remain in the field.

Union
Finally, after 2 full months, Butters stops ignoring the newest member of the family, Henry Hudson. He can now somewhat tolerate touching the little fella.

Late Fall Lettuce Mix
A Vegan home chef that uses our produce says that this is the best tasting lettuce she's ever had.
And still blessed with edible flowers during this time of the year.
